QB Passes All Phases Of NFL Protocol "ImPACT" Test

The Matt Flynn era will have to wait. Thank God for that. Actually, you can probably thank Aaron Rodgers for that. Having lead a concussion-free career until last Sunday, his recovery time appears to have been much shorter than that of his contemporaries throughout the league. For example, after a 17-3 thrashing care of the New York Football Giants, Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler was forced to sit out a week after failing to be cleared by an independent neurologist. Rodgers' gameday status is still up in the air and depends largely on how he reacts to Thursday's practice, where he rejoined the team for the first time this week and took some of the 1st team open-media reps. Matt Flynn is still taking more 1st team reps than he otherwise would, but barring a setback, Sunday's Lambeau Field should be Mr. Rodgers' Neighborhood for the 39th consecutive time (including playoffs). Here's to feelin' good all the time.
Elsewhere in injury-land... TE Donald Lee is expected to get the start after practicing on Thursday. He suffered a chest strain early in last week's loss to the Washington Redskins. His pass blocking was surely missed down the stretch in D.C.
Star LB Clay Matthews may miss Sunday's contest, but mums the word from Packers head coach, McCarthy the Communicator. Matthews suffered a pulled hamstring, his third in two seasons. Either he needs a new stretching routine, or he needs to play with less intensity. Try yoga?
This Just In! The Packers have decided to place LB Nick Barnett on Injured Reserve, officially ending his season. Barnett recently underwent surgery for a dislocated wrist. In light of this news, Barnett issued the following statement via Twitter,
":-( f#%^*"
