Harris Halted

Fans will have to wait at least one more week to see CB Al Harris in action. At today's presser, coach Mike McCarthy made it clear that Harris would not start. He used less certain language when referring to safety Atari Bigby. Both players have spent the first 7 weeks of the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list (PUP), while rehabbing injuries sustained in 2009. Next week represents the last chance the Packers will have to activate the two, as well as RB James Starks, before they must be declared inactive for the remainder of the season.

It's a good thing those jerseys have names on the back, because Packer fans will be studying some new players on Sunday. NT Howard Green, LB Erik Walden, LB Diyral Briggs, and LB Matt Wilhelm were all brought in this week to stop the hemorrhaging on defense. They are all expected to be in the starting 45. We'll see...
