The Packers have finally activated safety Atari Bigby from the PUP list. He will take defensive lineman Mike Montgomery's spot on the 53 man roster. Montgomery was waived last week, likely in anticipation of this move.
Cornerback Al Harris will not be active. Green Bay's strategy will likely be to activate Harris just before the Monday deadline, giving him the bye week for additional rehab and practice time. If he is not activated by Monday, he will be ineligible for the rest of the season.
Running back James Starks likewise remains on the PUP list. Head coach Mike McCarthy has been quiet regarding the team's plans for Starks. The fact is, he is a rookie who has missed the entire season with an injury, as well as his entire senior season in college with a separate injury. He is 2 years removed from any football activity. The Packers must see something in him, or he'd have been waived some time ago, but fans will have to wait and see.
Here is the complete injury list for tomorrow's game...

Starks, it was just announced was activated off the PUP list, which means they will use him to some degree, how they'll use him is anyone's guess at this point.
ReplyDeleteI think it's going to be a process, may not really see any of him this month very little next month and maybe a little bit more in the last two games of the season, if he can stay healthy he'll keep his job.
