Matthews Again NFC Defensive Payer of the Week

By the Hammer of Thor!

For the second time this season, and the third time in his 2 year career, Packers linebacker Clay Matthews has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week. Facing the Cowboys in Green Bay, Clay notched 2 tackles for a loss out of 4 tackles total. He also batted down 2 passes and recorded a sack, bringing his season sack total to a league leading 10.5. The icing on the cake came late in the game, when fellow linebacker AJ Hawk stepping in the way of a Jon Kitna pass, tipping the ball right to Matthews, who then chugged his way to a 62 yard pick six. Truly a great performance overall. It's also worth noting that Clay is the first Packer to record at least 10 sacks in his first 2 seasons. Atta boy, CMIII!
